The point about Olive's possible asexual characterization is one the book rarely gets credit for. Hazelwood never labels it but the cues are consistent throughout. And your read on the Gen Z vs millennial humor divide is exactly right. The "crappity" type of quirk belongs to a specific cultural moment that doesn't translate cleanly across generations.

I was so happy to see some ace rep! And yeah, I’ve noticed that I don’t usually resonate with a lot of “funny” books, but I think that’s just the generational divide like we’re saying.
